The primary purpose of this role is to build a credible evidence base for QPASTT’s services through systematic evaluation of services, programs and projects. This includes the co-design, collation and analysis of outcomes data as well as integration of peer reviewed research and the lived experience of QPASTT clients. This strategic role will help cultivate an organisational culture where evaluation and research are pursued to improve practice and inform advocacy to assist people from refugee backgrounds to heal, belong and thrive in a just Australian community.
The successful candidate will have experience in delivering service evaluations for government funding bodies and excellent research and project management skills.
We are looking for a research professional who is passionate about applied research and evaluation that address the social and environmental determinants of health and recovery among individuals, families and communities from refugee backgrounds.
You will be respectful and creative in finding ways to engage with clients from refugee backgrounds, staff, and other stakeholders in the co-design of evaluation and research initiatives.
You will be committed to working in collaboration with QPASTT partners including ethnic community associations, universities, government and non-government organisations.
You will be able to work flexibly to support systemic advocacy and strategic activities identified by the organisation's Strategic Plan and aligned with QPASTT’s liberation framework of healing, belonging, thriving and justice.
