GOALS OF THE ROLE

• To maximise the media coverage for candidates
• To manage media issues that arise
• To support the learning curve of candidates.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Experience working in a similar and successful role previously
• Have relevant experience with software packages used internally by the Party
• Experience in working in complex organisational structures
• Experience in bringing teams together to achieve desired outcomes
• Experience with and skills in conflict resolution
• A commitment to Green politics and processes including consensus decision making
• Commitment to the Greens charter and policies including an understanding of internal structures and processes

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate the development of media stories around Green policies for Candidates in Queensland
• Support Candidates in their interactions with Media
• Provide messaging lines on topical issues for candidates to talk to
• Work alongside the Senator’s, MP’s and Councillors Offices to maximise media coverage in the Election
• Work with online media team to ensure that releases and coverage are disseminated and shared
• All other duties as directed
