About the role

Part time role – 30 hours per week

Maximum Term – 12 months

Commencement – early January

In the newly established LLE Leadership Coordinator role, you’ll champion the implementation of QuIHN’s Peer Leadership Framework, working directly with Senior Management to embed lived-living experience and lead cultural change. Your role will focus on empowering peer workforce capabilities, building QuIHN’s network of strong allies, and supporting QuIHN’s peer-driven practices. Expect to be hands-on and lead by example in a dynamic role that involves:

  • project coordination and supporting staff to implement the Peer Leadership Framework
  • providing expert insights on contemporary lived/living experience research and practices
  • advocating for the peer workforce, fostering understanding and support at all levels of QuIHN
  • analysing and recommending improvements to the workforce pipeline for lived experience staff
  • regular reporting on framework outcomes, staff engagement, and survey insights

What we’re looking for

A passionate individual dedicated to health outcomes for clients and communities, who can bring:

  • Lived experience of substance use, including experience accessing AOD services
  • Peer Workforce leadership experience in the AOD sector, with a strong commitment to harm reduction
  • An empathetic, collaborative approach to engaging stakeholders, clients, and communities
  • Ability to champion and challenge respectfully while promoting peer workforce initiatives
  • Strong communication skills, especially in report writing, and a proactive mindset for advocacy and education
  • Relevant qualifications in Lived-Living Experience (Peer) Workforce, AOD competencies, or equivalent experience

It would also be beneficial if you have:

  • a current Queensland driver’s licence (or equivalent)
  • previous experience in a Project Management role

Salary and Benefits

  • Hourly rate - $53.84
