Your new role

  • Permanent, Full time
  • Located at Wagga Wagga, ACT
  • Annual Salary between $98,185.54 to $102,491.77

Case Managers facilitate a range of support services for young people, adults, and families. The position facilitates case management, group programs and psychosocial education for people across the lifespan who have a lived experience of family, domestic or sexual violence (FDSV).

Duties:

  • Provide screening, assessment, and case management for clients to ensure safety and develop individual safety plans. Liaise with other service providers as needed.
  • Maintain continuous engagement with relevant service providers for accurate information and internal and external referrals for clients.
  • Work with the Clinical & Community Programs leadership team to develop and facilitate group program content that engages clients in psychosocial education and support.
  • Manage client data, evaluations, and quality improvement in collaboration with the Clinical & Community Programs leadership team, including maintenance of case notes for statistical data collection and external reviews.
  • Facilitate psychosocial education and/or therapeutic groups and develop content for group delivery.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Qualification in the field of Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Counselling or Social Science. Current registration/membership with at least one of the following: Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Australian Association for Social Workers (AASW); Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and Level 2 or above Australian Counselling Association (ACA).
  2. Demonstrated skills and experience in providing case management and an in-depth understanding of the impact of FDSV on families.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of theoretical frameworks for providing client centred and strengths-based intervention that is trauma-informed, and crisis intervention.
  4. Demonstrated skill in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultural communities, and knowledge of issues facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, culturally and linguistically diverse individuals and communities, and LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities
