Your new role

  • Annual Salary between $93,925.18 to $94,979.92

The role of the Facilities Officer is to manage the delivery of the capital and life cycle maintenance programs at an operational level, providing support to Senior Leaders in the development, procurement and delivery of capital and maintenance projects and works programs. The position must manage the day-to-day operation and upkeep of RACR’s owned and leased premises, facility systems, equipment, fleet, and ancillary assets.

Duties:

  • In coordination with the Practice Manager, assist in the development and implementation of asset management plans, ensuring a whole life cycle maintenance plan and budget is maintained across the entire property portfolio.
  • Contribute to setting CAPEX and OPEX budgets and, subsequently, ongoing monitoring of actual expenditure to assist in delivering the company’s financial targets.
  • Effectively manage the responsive, cyclical, and long-term maintenance programs to ensure a safe, statutory-compliant, and fit-for-purpose work environment
  • Assist in the end-to-end procurement process for consulting and building services related explicitly to condition assessments, capital works and fit-outs, leading the scoping, tender, and commercial negotiation of terms.

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Demonstrated experience in various components of facilities, project management, and building and property maintenance.
  2. Ability to manage relationships and negotiate with various stakeholders such as contractors.
  3. Demonstrated initiative to work with limited supervision to coordinate and maintain facility planning and operational management of facilities.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people.
