Your new role

  • Part Time (3 days per week)
  • Fixed Term contract until 20 December 2024
  • Located at Wagga Wagga, NSW
  • Annual salary between $91,586.55 to $92,889.37 pro rata

This position is responsible for driving the establishment and raising awareness of the Men’s Behaviour Change Program (MBCP) in Wagga. Under the direction of the Manager Clinical and Community Programs, this includes the development of promotional material, stakeholder engagement and development of referral pathways.

Duties:

Under the supervision of the Manager Clinical and Community Programs, the Men’s Behaviour Change Program Project Officer is responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development of a MBCP communication strategy, campaigns and events including online content for RACR website and social media.
  • Assisting with the strategic planning of developing a sustainable MBCP that meets local community needs.
  • Engaging with stakeholders to explore opportunities for collaboration.
  • Maintains and shares knowledge of local services and cultivate referral pathways for potential client of MBCP.
  • Is sensitive and responsive to the needs of people who use intimate partner violence and holds the safety of adults and children impacted by domestic, family, and sexual violence as the priority.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Certificate IV in Mental health, Community Services, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations to small groups.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with all social media platforms, Microsoft Office applications and the capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
