The Role

A newly created position the primary role of the RACS Grants Officer is to work alongside to the RACS Fundraising team to ensure the sustainability of our free legal service to refugees and people seeking asylum. The RACS Grants Officer will report to the RACS Fundraising Manager. The successful applicant will be working at RACS’ main Randwick office, with working from home requirements as necessary and on agreement with the RACS Fundraising Manager. The primary responsibility of the RACS Grant Officer is to research, write and acquit funding grants for RACS.

  • Work with the RACS legal team to understand the programs and their priorities for funding.
  • Proactively research and identify grant opportunities through the scrutiny of funding criteria, grant eligibility and previously funded projects, as well as effectively match RACS’ projects with that of the funding organisation.
  • Write and submit compelling grant applications.
  • Oversee and monitor a detailed, prioritised grant opportunity calendar to ensure an effective pipeline of applications.
  • Manage existing and successful grants, ensuring the acquittal process is met; including the submission and preparation of any reports that may be required.
  • Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Meet the reporting requirements of the Leadership Team, including the maintenance of our Salesforce reporting systems as required for your area of responsibility
