About the Role

As a key member of the Safer Pathways program, you will play a pivotal role in supporting male victims of Domestic and Family Violence (DFV). In this role, you’ll deliver critical phone-based support, conduct thorough safety assessments, respond to urgent client needs, and connect individuals with key services.

Working with referrals from the NSW Police and Justice Department, you’ll proactively reach out to men who need support. In this high-volume environment, your ability to quickly establish trust and rapport will be crucial to ensuring each client receives the care and guidance they need.

The details:

• 3 days per week based in Wollongong
• Permanent Part-time
• $46 – $51 per hour (depending on skills and experience) + 11.5% super, 17.5% leave loading and tax-free salary packaging up to $15,900. (Increase your take home pay! Calculate Your Savings at https://www.salary.com.au/calculate-your-savings)

What you’ll bring:

• Demonstrated experience working with victim survivors of Domestic & Family Violence
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments, and effective case management
• Proficiency in assessing and responding to risk of harm (FDSV & Chid Protection), using relevant risk assessment tools and protocols
• Strong knowledge of the local service system, and ability to facilitate effective referrals
• Proven experience establishing and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with other organisations
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in community development, social work, social welfare, health promotion or similar field and/or relevant experience
