About this role
Research, Impact, and Analytics is a high-profile team in our organisation within the Business Enablement division. The team provides strategic leadership in policy research, data analytics and impact evaluation across RANSW. Drawing on a broad range of quantitative and qualitative methods, we work collaboratively with clients and colleagues to produce insights and evidence that drive practice innovation and allow us to advocate for better policy that meets people’s needs.
What you’ll do
- Support delivery of individual program evaluations or targeted research studies, including study design, literature reviews, quantitative and qualitative data collection, mixed methods analysis and reporting
- Support the Senior Research & Evaluation Officer in implementing RANSW’s Impact Framework, including delivering and analysing mixed methods client surveys, conducting follow-up interviews as required, and contributing to writing of impact reports
- Recruit RANSW customers and external stakeholders as research participants
- Support the team to design research and evaluation methodologies appropriate to the diverse range of clients and employees
The details:
- Part time, 3 days per week
- Based at Macquarie Park, hybrid working options available

What you'll bring
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, social work, or psychology
- Experience conducting social research or evaluation projects in either a community services or academic setting, including collecting, analysing and presenting data
- Experience adapting communication styles to accommodate different people’s needs (e.g. people with communication impairments, people who speak languages other than English)
- Experience using research-related software e.g. surveying tools, analysing quantitative data in MS Excel or R, qualitative analysis in Nvivo, MaxQDA or similar, online facilitation in Miro
- Experience writing research reports or presentations for non-researcher audiences
