Our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

The RAP commits RANZCO to activities that seek to achieve equity in access and health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; continue to build collaborative partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the health sector; build on our existing commitment to increasing the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ophthalmologists in Australia; and will improve and enhance our organisation’s cultural safety practices.

This role is for an 12-18-month contract with a 1 July 2024 start.

We are seeking two senior education and learning designers to design, implement and maintain currency of learning, teaching and assessment activities for RANZCO’s training, education and professional development programs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Design on-line learning packages and courses, and teaching and assessment activities aimed to engage learners in active, reflective, transformative learning and develop competencies required for safe, comprehensive, contemporary, practice as an ophthalmologist.
  • Provide educational expertise and collaborate with subject matter experts and College staff to complete identified design and curriculum projects and assessment activities, including mapping of curriculum to training posts.
  • Organise and facilitate meetings with subject matter experts if necessary.
  • Plan and undertake the implementation of online learning approaches including investigating features of Totara and identifying how to use them to enhance learning.
  • Review and maintain existing online resources and educational programs.
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly with RANZCO members, staff and other stakeholders to meet the goals of the organisation.
