About headspace:

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 year olds, along with assistance in promoting young peoples’ wellbeing. This covers core areas including mental health, physical health, work and study support and alcohol and other drug services. Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) is the lead agency for headspace Bairnsdale and Sale which is governed by a consortium of local community organisations who provide expertise, support and advice to RAV.

About the role

You will report to the Centre Manager, with key responsibilities including providing a welcoming first point of contact to walk-in clients, directing incoming phone enquiries and responding to emails in a helpful and professional manner. This involves efficient coordination, booking, data entry and processing of all appointments and preparing documentation pertaining to all stages of client work. You will also be responsible for receiving and posting payments and accounts, helping with the preparation for health promotion events and general office housekeeping duties.

This role is across our Sale and Bairnsdale headspace centres. This is a casual position with the expectation that one day per week will may be an evening shift. Your hourly rate will be $47.50 inclusive of casual loading.

About you

  • Office Administration certificate and/or previous experience in a similar administration capacity.
  • Experienced in answering inbound calls and delivering high quality customer service.
  • Understanding of working with clients with complex needs in a supportive, empathetic and effective manner, to remain calm under pressure, problem solve and make effective decisions in potentially stressful situations.
  • High level of confidentiality to ensure client personal and financial information is maintained.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, with excellent attention to detail.
