This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced counsellor to join our team in Ballarat with Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV).

About the role

Reporting to the Centre Manager, your responsibilities include the provision of high quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy, including education programs to individuals, couples and families as required. You will be able to apply your skills and expertise in childhood development and family dynamics to respond to a diverse range of issues including trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, relational issues, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended families.

This role is located at Ballarat and is a permanent, part-time position working 3 days per week including every Thursday 1pm to 9pm. The base salary range is $92k-$99k (pro-rata) per annum.

About you

  • Degree qualified in family therapy, social work, counselling or psychology.
  • Previous supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
  • Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals, couples and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assess for family violence and work with individuals and couples where family violence is present.
  • Understand and be able to practically apply relevant legislative regulations.
