This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated, experienced counsellor at our Greensborough centre to join Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) in this important role with staff who have been delivering effective client focused services and outcomes for over 70 years in Victoria.

About the role

Reporting to the Manager Northern, and working closely with the Greensborough team, your responsibilities include the provision of high quality, culturally sensitive relationship counselling and therapy, including education programs to individuals, couples and families.

Counsellors will have expertise in childhood development and family dynamics and be able to respond to a diverse range of issues: including trauma, violence and abuse, parenting concerns, stress and anxiety, separation and divorce and blended families.

This role is part-time permanent, three (3) days per week, with one of those shifts a late night per week (12noon – 8pm) providing services at the Greensborough Family Services Provider centre.

Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline including family therapy, social work, counselling, psychology.
  • Previous supervised professional experience in relationship counselling and family violence.
  • Demonstrated application of therapeutic modalities relevant to working with individuals, couples and families.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with individuals and couples where family violence is present and accurately assess for family violence.
  • Understand and be able to practically apply relevant legislative regulations.

What we offer

A competitive salary package is on offer to the successful candidate with a base salary range of $84,583-$86,968 (pro-rata) per annum, superannuation and access to salary packaging.
