About the role

Reporting to Senior manager, you will facilitate group-based interventions for low and medium-risk offenders, utilising adult learning principles and a strength-based approach. These sessions, conducted both online and in person, emphasise reflection, the development of pro-social skills, and positive life changes to support correctional cohorts in successfully completing their Community Correction Orders (CCO).

This is a great casual opportunity for skilled individuals who are available to travel across Melbourne, including Sunshine, Broadmeadows, Dandenong, with some regional travel. Whilst this is a casual position, successful candidates can expect work during normal business hours, i.e. Monday to Friday, but it also may involve work on a Saturday. You can expect to be rostered on for one to two shifts per week.

The hourly rate is $62.25 per hour including casual loading.

About you

  • Degree in education, counselling, social work or other related fields.
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessment and/or several years’ experience in facilitating training workshops to adults.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills with experience facilitating groups with adults from variety of backgrounds and needs; including clients with complex needs.
  • Experience working in a correctional setting is an advantage.
  • Fully maintained vehicle and current Victorian drivers licence.
