Now is an exciting time to join Rocky Bay. We are a leading provider of disability support services, offering choice and independence to thousands of Western Australians of all ages living with a disability and growing rapidly which can lead to career progression opportunities.

We are looking for a Support Worker to cover a 12 month parental leave period at our Respite home in Rockingham. The successful candidate will be available to work varied shift times including night duty and weekends.

The role will involve supporting people living with disability in achieving their goals. Every day will bring with it variety, as you support our customers to live the life they choose.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing personal care support to promote optimum health and wellbeing;
  • Providing direct support to assist clients to access appointments, social and leisure pursuits;
  • Support person-centered plans that identify a customer’s life goals and help the customers to work towards achieving their desired outcomes;
  • Drive modified vehicles to accompany to appointments and social events;
  • Maintain a welcoming home environment;
  • Administering medication as required;

To be considered for this position you will demonstrate:

What you’ll need to have:

  • Current WA driver’s license
  • NDIS workers screening check 
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Personal smart phone with internet/data access
  • Proof of current influenza vaccination, or be willing to obtain
  • Eligibility to work in Australia
  • Two professional contactable references (one from your current or most recent employer)

Desirable

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent and previous experience in the NDIS environment would be highly regarded
