Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Mentor and support Educators to develop and implement the planning cycle to enhance programs and practices
- Ensure all Educators are participating in reflective practices
- Support services to ensure the philosophy is evident in practice
- Ability to research and share relevant information to assist and enhance the knowledge of Educators in their current and ongoing practices
- Contribute to the planning and evaluation of professional development progress for Educators
- Work alongside Educators to role model good practices
- Work collaboratively with Centre Leaders and other Educational Leaders to identify and understand the professional development needs of Educators and to prepare and implement professional development plans
- Work collaboratively with Educational Leaders across Adventure Patch
- Coach and mentor trainees and ensure they are meeting training plans
- Prepare monthly Educational Program and Practice Report for LDC Manager
- Contribute to the Quality improvement Plan for continuous improvement of Educational Programs and Practices
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a leadership role or minimum 5 years’ experience working in an education and care setting
- ACECQA approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care or higher (or willingness to undertake)
- Current Provide and Emergency First Aid Response in and Education and Care Setting qualification
- Current ACECQA approved Anaphylaxis and Emergency Asthma Management Training
- Hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card
- The successful applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical prior to commencement
