Our client is a leading provider of not-for-profit community services, based in Western Sydney. The organisation’s services are aimed at supporting families, children and the community and its services span across Sydney and other regions in NSW.

The organisation has and continues to evolve and expand and is looking for the right person to join its team for a 12-month period.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), you will provide extensive executive and administrative support to the CEO, other Executive Team members, the Board and sub-committees of the Board.

Your key responsibilities will include managing the CEO’s diary; arranging travel and accommodation; developing confidential correspondence on behalf of the Executive Team; managing all incoming and outgoing communications, including telephone calls, emails and correspondence; coordinating events; compiling Executive and Board meeting agendas and taking minutes of meetings; and preparing written reports and briefing papers.

Key Requirements

Your experience in providing senior level executive and administrative support is key to this role. Just as important are your strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Specifically, as the ideal candidate you will meet the following key requirements:

  • Proven flexibility and adaptability to transition between the executive level duties including highly developed time management skills and ability to meet competing deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills to manage the diary of a busy CEO and proven ability to manage multiple tasks and reminders on behalf of others
  • Extensive knowledge of common software applications including presentations, word processing and spreadsheets
  • Highly developed negotiation and problem-solving skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to draft correspondence and reports, take minutes of meetings and prepare presentations
