About Reclink Australia

Reclink Australia is a leading national not for profit providing sports, recreation and arts programs to people experiencing disadvantage across Australia.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer the General Manager Reclink National Program will lead, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on the Reclink National Program across the 25 designated sites in Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Manage and develop the Reclink National Program;
  • Lead the development of structured sport and recreation programs across Australia;
  • Lead and manage the team responsible for program delivery;
  • Manage and report on budget for the Reclink National Program;
  • Promote the Reclink National Program to key sectors including but limited to mental health sector, drug and alcohol sector, homelessness support agencies, employment service providers and relevant health and community agencies;
  • Prepare submissions, tenders and proposals for the expansion of the Reclink National Program in all States and Territories;
  • Work closely with the community sector to increase sport and recreation participation opportunities for people experiencing disadvantage;
  • Increase the Reclink agency membership as part of the Reclink National Program;
  • Lead the evaluation and research of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Reclink National Program;
  • Develop and maintain positive external relationships with all key stakeholders.

Desirable professional and personal qualities

  • A Diploma or Degree level qualification in Sport, Mental Health, Disability or welfare related fields;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in an equivalent senior management role in sport and recreation, mental health and disability sectors or community development based organisations will be highly regarded;
  • Demonstrated experience in managing budgets;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement, manage and report on national programs and services;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a national team;
  • Highly developed skills and experience in developing national partnerships with key stakeholders, including the corporate, non-profit and government sectors;
  • Highly developed successful submission and tender writing;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Professional presentation and strong communication skills [written and verbal].
