• Salary: $91,846 - $101,687 p.a. + super

About Us

Apunipima Cape York Health Council is a community controlled Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health service, which provides culturally appropriate, family centred, primary health care services to the communities and people of Cape York.

About the Opportunity

Apunipima is seeking a Planning and Development Officer to support the planning, coordination and monitoring of organisational programs and services. The role also assists with sourcing and applying for funding to support new health and wellbeing initiatives that align to our strategic objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Knowledge and experience in developing frameworks to report against achieved outcomes including, data collation, analysis and key deliverables.
• Experience in program development and implementation; preferably in the health sector.
• Strong administration skills to support grant applications, development of business and operational plans.
• Understanding of the historical and contemporary issues that impact on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people and their communities, particularly in Cape York.
• Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in accordance with community protocols and customs.
• Current Blue Card positive notice or exemption, or willing and able to obtain prior to commencement.
