Golden City Support Services (GCSS) is a recognised leader in providing high quality support that enables people with disabilities and their families to live good lives in the community. We are a not-for-profit, registered NDIS provider, operating primarily in the Loddon Mallee region of Victoria.

We provide services to people with a range of intellectual and psychosocial disabilities and have particular expertise in supporting people with complex needs. Founded more than 40 years ago, we have a rights-based model grounded in evidence based practice.

The support we provide enables people to live well, be part of their chosen communities and have opportunities to develop independence, personal ambitions and social relationships. GCSS currently supports 420 people with disabilities in the Loddon Mallee region, with services spanning 24 hour Supported Independent Living, Drop-in Support, Community Access, Support Coordination.

Following the CEO’s retirement, the Board is seeking applications from dynamic and committed individuals to lead and evolve our organisation through the next phase of growth. The CEO leads, inspires and motivates a dedicated team of around 190 with three direct reports. The role also drives the development of the strategic plan, delivers on its goals, oversees risk management, monitors and reports on the quality of disability supports and ensure the organisation remains financially sustainable.

A seven member, skills based, professional and highly engaged board supports the CEO providing strategic leadership and governance.

To be considered for this position, you will need to demonstrate:

  • An understanding and commitment to our person-centred and evidence-based model of service and to the delivery of high-quality support
  • A deep understanding of disability support services and the NDIS
  • A strong interest in emerging best practice in disability support and practice leadership
  • Proven skills in risk management and finance
  • A reputation for leading people enabling them to do their best
  • Excellent conceptual, written and oral communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for working with an engaged and skilled board of management
  • A commitment to regional service delivery and an understanding of the challenges and opportunities such operations present
