When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it affects the whole family. In the daunting and unpredictable experience that follows diagnosis, a child needs as much stability and support from their family as possible. Redkite is a lifeline for families, providing real emotional, financial and practical support. Because holding it together when your child’s life is in question can feel impossible.
Cancer Hub is a digital one stop shop helping families impacted by cancer (with children aged 0-25) more easily access the practical and emotional support they need. Cancer Hub is a collaboration between Canteen, Camp Quality and Redkite. The successful candidate will be employed by Redkite but will work within the Cancer Hub and will predominantly focus on supporting Redkite families.
As a Cancer Navigator, you will work with family members to develop a tailored plan and connect them to the service(s) that best meet their needs. Where required, the Navigators will advocate for the meeting of those needs and assist with coordinating the actions of multiple treatment and support providers.
Due to the nature of Redkite and Cancer Hubs work, you will be required to (very) occasionally work weekends and evenings. Advance notice will be given when this is the case, and Redkite does have a Time off in Lieu policy for taking leave as agreed with the supervising manager.
Please attach a cover letter to your CV. A cover letter is your opportunity to identify why this role is aligned to your interests and career aspirations.
