Remote / Work from Home
The Research for Development Impact (RDI) Network is an Australian based network of practitioners, researchers, and evaluators working in international development, functioning as a key cross-sector platform for shared learning and action in the sector. With over 2,500 members, the Network has become a key outlet for accessing diverse research expertise, brokering partnerships, convening forums and conferences, as well as supporting ethical research practice among NGOs and academia in Australia. The RDI Network aims to improve the way research evidence informs development policy, practice, and discourse in the Australian development sector. We believe overcoming poverty and injustice requires effective partnerships that link quality research, policy, and practice.
The Network exists to foster collaboration between Australian universities and NGOs to promote high quality and ethical development research, translated as evidence and applied to effective policy and practice. The RDI Network has been working in partnership with the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID) for many years, with funding from the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT). The Network is governed through a Board of Directors and Members (Steering Committee), consisting of representatives from ACFID member NGOs and affiliated universities.
In 2023, the Network evolved into a not-for-profit Public Company Limited by Guarantee, with administrative services, media and communications, and governance all sitting within the Board of Directors and membership.
Effective, equitable international development through evidence and collaboration.
