The opportunity

ReturnToWorkSA’s ReCONNECT service provides free and voluntary tailored support to people with a work injury claim who require assistance accessing community-based programs and services. (i.e. Centrelink, NDIS, housing, financial counselling). ReCONNECT is available at any time throughout a worker’s injury claim and is also available to their affected family members.

The position

The Team Leader ReCONNECT’s objective is to ensure delivery of a community services navigation program to help workers address barriers to recovery and return to work that aren’t related to their work injury. The role has overall responsibility for management of ReCONNECT, which includes:

• providing support and guidance to the three team members (Advisors) and fostering a team culture of professional excellence.
• embedding a continuous improvement approach.
• leading while managing a small case load.
• measuring and reporting on client outcomes.

About you

You are a highly capable people-leader with demonstrated experience working in a hands-on capacity with clients who have complex needs. You possess excellent communication skills and can build trusting relationships and develop a quick rapport with a variety of stakeholders. Mental fitness and resilience will be key to your success in this role. Previous experience in a social work or community services setting is highly desirable.

Special requirements/Conditions

Current driver’s licence is essential as you will need to travel to meet with clients.

Based on assessment of risk, the occupant of this position is required to maintain full COVID-19 vaccination status and must provide evidence.
