Join the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) Cairns Base as our newest Administration Officer and play a pivotal role in supporting our vital Primary Health Care (PHC) nursing operations. This diverse role within our nursing team is for a skilled Administration Officer who has expert rostering and administration skills. You will have demonstrated experience in rostering, reconciliation and providing administrative support to clinical teams, ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is always maintained. This role will also support the PHC team with health promotion, skin clinics and school screening programs.

This is a permanent, part-time position located at our Cairns Base. Ideally, you would work for 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday, however flexible rostering arrangements may be considered for the successful candidate.

Your responsibilities will include:

• The coordination, generation and maintenance of rosters and leave records.
• Assist with clinical student placements.
• Assist with the orientation of PHC nursing staff.
• Data collection, checking, and auditing of records.
• Submitting clinic immunisation data.
• Administrative support to the PHC Nursing Leads.
• Administrative support of Primary Health Care clinics, health promotion, skin clinics and school screening programs.
• Effective management of Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Provide support and mentorship to junior Administration Officers.

Who are we looking for?

A skilled, dynamic Administrator who is eager to contribute to a high-performing and supportive team, as well as meet the following criteria:

• 3-5 years of relevant rostering and administration experience.
• Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications particularly Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Highly competent in maintaining confidentiality.
