Proudly serving Australians since 1928, the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) provides emergency aeromedical and allied health services for people in rural and remote Australia. We strive towards improving the health and wellbeing of our rural communities and believe in creating opportunities so all Victorians have the choice to access essential primary health care services.
RFDS Victoria are now accepting applications for position of Program Support Officer (GP and Allied Health).
This Program Support Officer (PSO) role provides administrative support for multiple rural health care programs such as Rural Women’s GP service, Doctors in Secondary Schools, Mobile Eye Care, RFDS Speech Therapy and others. The programs are key to RFDS Victoria’s vision to bring health care services to those who are otherwise unable to access them.
The PSO takes a detailed, hands-on approach to operational coordination including travel logistics, health practitioner liaison, stakeholder relationship management and finance processing to ensure effective and timely delivery of a range of primary health care services. They have responsibility for establishing and maintaining collaborative, productive working relationships with program and community stakeholders and ensuring excellence and continuous improvement in program delivery to the communities who need them.
With direction from the Health Services Manager, the PSO will be involved in some service planning and there will be future prospects of the role developing to incorporate project and program coordination.
If this sounds like the right opportunity for you please submit your resume and a cover letter outlining your suitability for the role and address the key selection criteria via the Apply Now button.
