We are currently seeking a B1 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) to join our team based in Jandakot. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, this full-time role works Monday to Friday and will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance on aircraft and equipment in accordance with RFDS manuals and procedures.

About you

You will be technically-minded and creative in your approach to work and finding solutions to issues. While working in a small team, you will be able to interpret and analyse complicated information and put your findings into practice. You will also possess a Certificate IV in Mechanical Aeroskills.

About the role

  • Working under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (LAME), you will dismantle, inspect, test, repair and reassemble aircraft engines, and subassemblies of aircraft frames
  • Assemble parts and subassemblies of aircraft frames
  • Replace and testing aircraft oxygen system components
  • Overall, maintain aircraft and carrying out regular inspections
  • Maintain records of action taken

The mission of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (Western Operations) is to provide excellence in aeromedical and primary health care across Western Australia. Every member of the RFDS WO team contributes to that mission and living our values of showing respect, demonstrating fairness, utilising diversity and being safe. Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA.
