Richmond Fellowship Queensland (RFQ) is seeking an experienced and motivated professional to work across the NDIS Support coordination program in Metro South (Herston/Loganholme/Capalaba).

About the position

As a Support Coordinator, you will support clients to achieve their goals in their Individual NDIS Plans. You will help bring each participants’ NDIS plan to life. You will provide assistance to strengthen participants’ ability to coordinate and implement their supports, help participants to strengthen their informal networks, and coordinate a range of services, including funded and mainstream supports. The position involves an understanding of the NDIS, the role of support coordination, and assists supervisors with their supervisory responsibility, consistent with RFQ’s recovery practice models.

Requirements include

  • Degree in social work, psychology, behavioural sciences, and/or a human services related field or Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health and demonstrated experience
  • Strong experience in service delivery
  • A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property)
  • Willingness and ability to undertake vaccination in line with Queensland Health requirements and directives
  • Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld)

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated skills using client information management systems
  • The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively with multiple stakeholders including clients, the NDIA, Queensland Health, other NGOs, Office of Public Guardian and private health services
  • The ability to be self-driven and autonomous
  • Professional advocacy skills
