The Way Back is a non-clinical support service providing psychosocial support to people experiencing a suicidal crisis or who have attempted suicide. Support is provided for up to three months and targets those at the highest risk through referrals following hospital presentations or through specialist mental health services. The Team Leader is responsible for overall operational management of The Way Back Support Service program, as well as clinical and operational supervision of Support Coordinators. This position will involve substantial travel throughout the West Moreton/Darling Downs region.
