Established in 2001, Rights In Action (RIA) is a North QLD non-profit that provides free, independent advocacy for people with a disability and mental illness.
The General Manager (GM) oversees the day-to-day operational functions of Rights In Action. The GM collaborates closely with senior leadership, ensuring effective implementation of the RIA's strategic plans. This role requires a dynamic leader with a passion for advocacy and a commitment to promoting and safeguarding the human rights of vulnerable people.
Proven experience as a General Manager, COO, or in a similar senior operational role. Demonstrable experience in managing and improving operational processes. Strong understanding of financial management and budgeting. Experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in advocacy or social services, is highly desirable.
