The Operations Manager is a leadership position within Roundabout Canberra: a critical service provider of essential baby and children’s items to over 100 social services agencies in the ACT and surrounding region, helping 5000 children per year.

The Operations Manager reports directly to the CEO of Roundabout Canberra and will manage the positions of Operations Coordinator, Operations Assistant and Volunteer Coordinator/s (job-shared). The Operations Manager will work closely with the Social Services Manager.
The role is part-time, working between 30 hours per week. The location of work is the Roundabout Canberra premises in Holt, ACT. The structure and days of work are flexible and subject to agreement, but ideally you will work across 4-5 days, including Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the programs of work related to the management of the Roundabout Canberra warehouse, stock and volunteer program with a focus on strategic planning to meet growing organisational needs and to enhance service delivery.
- Lead and support a team of paid staff across different work streams, fostering a collaborative approach and strong connectivity within the team.
- Take responsibility for compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements, including occupational health and safety and other operational policies, proactively updating policies to adapt to organisational growth.
- Proactively identify and resolve logistical challenges, including balancing stock levels and optimising donation flows, ensuring resource allocation aligns with both immediate and long-term needs.
- Management of Volunteer Program, including volunteer communications, with support from Volunteer Coordinator/s, ensuring that volunteers receive a consistent, professional and enjoyable experience throughout their journey with Roundabout Canberra, while balancing the operational needs of the organisation.
- Develop and manage relationships with key partners and donors, identifying new opportunities for collaboration that support Roundabout Canberra’s mission and resource needs.
- Ensure effective utilisation of CRM ICT solution (Salesforce) for all volunteer management and inventory management.
- Support the CEO with briefs and reporting required for partners, Government, the Board and any other purposes.

- Organised and detail oriented, with strong administrative support skills.

- Strong written communication abilities.
- Willingness to utilise new platforms and systems.
Desired:
- Experience in using Salesforce or similar CRM database.
- First Aid Qualified
