Purpose of the position

The Application Support Specialist will support Royal Far West’s core system applications and end to end processes across these systems and work closely with internal and external system users. Support includes the understanding and responding to business needs, the management of incidents, change and service requests and regular data reporting. The role will perform changes in the systems and coordinate change requests with system vendors.

The focus will be on the core systems of the health directorate such as medical record system, client portal and scheduling portal while understanding the business processes and integration of systems within the RFW systems architecture.

Essential criteria

• Strong customer centric approach to engage and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the business.
• Experience in application ownership, configuration, and daily support.
• Experience in vendor management to maintain, configure/customise applications.
• Experience in developing test scripts, user training and change management.
• Experience in gathering and analysing business requirements.
• Experience or willing to learn programming and database skills: C#, JavaScript, SQL.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks concurrently.
• Customer service approach to problem solving.
• Accuracy and attention to details.
• Primarily work onsite at our Manly location

Desirable criteria

• Degree or certifications in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or experience in a similar role in a health care organisation
• Experience with Electronic Medical Record and booking systems as a user and/or in a support or project role
• Working knowledge of ITIL
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
