About the role

We are seeking a Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner to provide behaviour assessment, intervention, and support services within the NDIS framework. In this role, you will collaborate with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective behaviour support plans that enhance the quality of life and wellbeing of individuals with disabilities. You will provide clinical expertise, education, and support to individuals, families, and stakeholders, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide clinical expertise, education, and support to individuals, families, and stakeholders while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide supervision (individual and group) and clinical guidance to the team
  • Conduct behaviour assessments within the NDIS framework and develop and implement effective behaviour support plans
  • Collaborate on quality improvement projects and resources
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical practice
  • Attend all mandatory staff training and other professional development as directed by Allied Health Manager/Clinical Lead/Clinical Supervisor
  • Stay updated on evidence-based practices in private practice and NDIS settings, identify opportunities for improvement, and actively promote the Royal Rehab LifeWorks behaviour support service

About you

We are seeking an individual who has a passion for delivering high-quality service where you will lead the development and implementation of behaviour support plans, provide clinical expertise, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the wellbeing of individuals with disabilities.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience leading a team of professionals in developing and implementing effective behaviour support plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and mentor a team to meet & exceed Key Performance Indicators
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and professional growth and development
  • Ability to develop individuals’ capacity to undertake lifestyle & community supports
  • Ability performing in an environment that is ambiguous, flexible, and responsive.
  • Knowledge of the clinical framework of Behaviour Support within a disability context
  • Knowledge of disability, health conditions &/or injury types & strategies

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant Tertiary level qualification and current professional registration if relevant (Psych / OT)
  • Proficient or advanced under NDIS PBS Capability Framework – Registration
