The Royal Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals NSW is a not-for-profit organisation in Australia that cares for, treats, protects and rehomes animals across the state, providing a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect.

We run a number of shelters and veterinary hospitals dedicated to treating, rehabilitating and rehoming animals.

With over 500 staff, RSPCA NSW is dedicated to working with the community to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.

RSPCA NSW is seeking a high energy, friendly, hardworking, go getter that thrives off interacting with people in the corporate environment and would be a positive ambassador for our brand.

The successful candidate will provide enthusiastic and active coordination of RSPCA Corporate Support Days and Corporate Events.

They will have a can-do attitude, be well presented, and have a true passion for animal welfare. They are also confident working autonomously as well as collaborating with multiple departments across the organisation, gaining additional experience and new skills.

This exciting position is a part-time 12-month contract, with the opportunity to extend to a full-time role.

responsibilities

The key accountabilities for this role include:

  • Host corporate groups in animal shelter for Corporate Support Day
  • Providing animal shelter tour to corporate groups
  • Demonstrate maintenance activities and animal handling to corporate groups
  • Liaising with animal shelter teams on all corporate programs
  • Providing content to digital team for social media
  • Administration of Corporate Support Day program
  • Manage Corporate Support Day and Corporate event enquiries and bookings
  • Coordination and planning of small-scale corporate events

ABOUT YOU

Desired Qualifications:

  • Year 12 High school Certificate

Experience:

  • Prior experience working within a team as well as autonomously – advantageous
  • Previous experience working in Customer Service or Event management – advantageous
  • Previous experience working in Animal welfare industry - advantageous
  • Previous experience working in Fundraising industry - desirable
  • Previous experience in an Administrator role - desirable
  • Previous experience using Salesforce database – desirable
  • Previous experience with Public Speaking – desirable
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft office suite) – desirable

Skills:

  • High level of attention to detail and good problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organisational skills
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Ability to work autonomously and multitask, as well as contribute to a team
  • An interest in animal welfare
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • High energy, friendly, enthusiastic people person
  • Comfortable working with and handling animals
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Current unrestricted driver’s license – essential
  • Reasonable level of fitness
  • Team player
