The role of Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the Yagoona shelter of the RSPCA NSW, day to day maintenance and grounds activities are delivered in accordance with relevant standard's, plans and guidelines. This role is far from mundane as it offers a vast range of tasks, whilst ensuring a healthy and safe working environment it created and maintained for all who visit the site.
In this role, you will ensure a safe working environment is maintained and identify problems or hazards for correction. You will perform minor repairs to the RSPCA NSW, Yagoona shelter, including, but not limited to, minor carpentry repairs, grounds maintenance and other tasks as they arise. You will also be required to move furniture, office equipment and accept supplies either manually or by using a forklift, track inventory of trade supplies & equipment for building, plumbing and grounds task’s waste management using safe disposal procedures, report observed hazards to the leading hand and cyclical preventive maintenance jobs as scheduled, including cleaning windows, repairing of locks and painting.
