About the Role

We are currently searching for an experienced and self-motivated Project Manager to join our Operations Team. This role will be responsible for establishing and implementing a project plan for the transition of the operations of the Epping Animal Welfare Facility from RSPCA Victoria to the City of Whittlesea.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute a project plan to ensure the smooth transition of the operations of the Epping Animal Welfare Facility from RSPCA Victoria to the City of Whittlesea, effective from October 2022.
  • Lead the coordination of activities associated with the transition with various departments in accordance with the timeframes and outcomes described in the project plan.
  • Monitor, control and report on the progress and performance of the transition against approved project plans, flagging and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders of the project to ensure effective communication and consultation, timely decision making, conflict resolution and the achievement of outcomes.
  • Identify risks associated with the transition and ensure that appropriate mitigations and/or contingency plans are in place to address these risks.
  • Lead the development and implementation of effective communication strategies to achieve awareness and engagement throughout the project with internal and external stakeholders, including impacted staff and volunteers at the EAWF site.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment by effectively communicating and working collaboratively with peers across all departments, and consistently behaving in accordance with the RSPCA Victoria values and associated policies.
  • Takes reasonable care for the safety of oneself and others, whilst contributing to safe work practices at RSPCA Victoria by knowing and complying with all WH&S policies and procedures.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated experience in delivering outcomes for organisations through project leadership and management.
  • Demonstrated experience in utilising a range of different project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong customer service and stakeholder management orientation with demonstrated experience managing diverse and complex relationships to deliver project outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and challenging work environment.
  • High level literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills, including intermediate computer skills (including use of Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
  • Previous experience working in the not-for-profit sector would be desirable
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
