Ruah Legal Services is the culmination of the merger between the Mental Health Law Centre (MHLC) and Ruah Community Services joining forces to pioneer a new approach, a wrap-around service for the most vulnerable people in our community that not only offers legal advice and representation but also provides non-legal support.
The Legal Administration Officer provides administrative support to the legal work and practice management of Ruah Legal Services. Core responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing confidential legal correspondence and court documents, via post, email, fax and webform submission.
The Legal Administration Officer also supports the work of the Telephone Advice Line, taking overflow calls on the intake line when volunteers are unavailable to answer, and managing warm referrals from legal and non-legal organisations.
The role requires an empathetic non-judgmental attitude to people living with disadvantage and facing mental health challenges.
This is a full-time permanent position.
