This is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of children and young adults under 25 years who are engaged with the Youth Justice service as well as having mental health difficulties.
As an experienced Psychologist , Social Worker, Registered Mental Health nurse or OT your role will be working with Youth Justice service and Primary Healthcare providers across the whole Hume region, you will enhance access to appropriate mental health treatment and support for those young people in the youth justice system.
The priority of the role will be developing and refining clear clinical pathways for young people to access the mental health care they require in a timely and seamless manner. Tasks may include supporting and upskilling of Youth Justice staff and to work with young people with mental health issues, supporting and upskilling mental health staff to work with young people in the youth justice system, primary and secondary consultation, developing and maintaining referral pathways and access to clinical mental health services.
The position is a senior clinician level, with the opportunity to work autonomously with stakeholders with the support of a skilled and experienced team.
