Your new role

This is your opportunity to assist people from diverse backgrounds to live the best and most independent life they can. As a qualified casual Support Worker Home Care, your main responsibility will be to help our clients within their homes to maintain a level of independence while assisting them with day-to-day activities and improving upon their quality of life.

While working mostly within the Northern Suburbs; a typical day would look like:

  • Supporting our clients to be independent
  • Providing meaningful social interaction
  • Assisting clients with personal care, shopping, travel to appointments or simply a stroll in the park
  • Supporting clients to meet care needs and attend medical appointments
  • Completing progress notes for each client at the end of each shift
  • Ensuring that escalation of care needs is reported to Coordinators and Case Managers

We're looking for

A high level of empathy and understanding for people from a variety of backgrounds will be a key to your success. Our ideal candidates will be comfortable handling complex behaviours, with the resilience and skills needed to respond appropriately to any situation.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support (Ageing)
  • A current Driver's License, a reliable registered car, with comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
  • Current COVID-19 vaccination certificate, including booster
  • Experience working within the aged care or support services sector
  • Ability to adapt to clients' needs effectively and while inclusive of client voice

A current First Aid and CPR Certificate are essential, however, if you have not obtained either the clearance or the certificate, don’t let this stop you from applying for this wonderful opportunity.

  • $32.18 to $33.18 per hour (plus casual loading!) depending on experience and qualifications
