SAHSSI is a not-for-profit specialist domestic violence and homelessness service in the Illawarra / Shoalhaven. We support women, men and children who are at risk of domestic violence and homelessness to recover, reduce their trauma, increase their safety, and build their capacity to thrive in the community.

SAHSSI is currently seeking a Research and Data Analyst to assist the organisation to collect, maintain, interpret, and analyse data to support evidence-based decision making.

The role will:

• Analyse the data that SAHSSI collects, design and inclusion of additional data measures, as well as collect own data through interviews, focus groups and surveys, to create stories using data to demonstrate our successes through reports and other communication materials.
• Interpret client data, including from client intake forms, case management databases, personal wellness indexes and client outcomes surveys to produce information that can be used to improve service delivery.
• Work alongside Managers and Team Leaders, providing feedback to frontline teams on how they can improve data collection processes, particularly for vulnerable cohorts, suggest improvements, provide training and check for consistency of data.
• Provide feedback to the Executive on high level service improvements, service direction.
• Embed ‘data culture’ into SAHSSI so all staff understand the importance of data and using data to inform service delivery becomes part of ‘how we do things at SAHSSI’
