The opportunity

This is a new role aimed at early career administrators with lived experience of caring for a close family member (parent/carer or sibling) with mental health challenges. Over time, you will support youth engagement, leadership opportunities and connections with Satellite by supporting our Youth Advisory Council and Satellite Squad members, who are program graduates aged 14+ years.

Reporting to the Engagement and Consultation Manager, the Youth Peer Worker will work with the Engagement and Consultation Team and with the Youth Advisory Council and Satellite staff to support the delivery of a range of youth-led and co-designed/co-created initiatives. This role will actively work with key external stakeholders as required. The successful candidate must be flexible, and available to attend meetings and events after hours (with notice).

As this role is open to early career administrators, job training, support and mentoring will be provided.
