SA Unions is South Australia’s united trades and labour council, the peak voice for the South Australian union movement. The council collectively represents approximately 160,000 union members in industries right across SA, from hospitality to the public sector, from construction to policing, from nurses and ambulance officers to abattoir workers and teachers.
The Campaigns and Organising Coordinator works with the Secretary and multiple stakeholders across the South Australian union movement, and key government and industrial stakeholders, to execute campaigns which advance SA Union’s strategic interests. This role also supports SA Unions’ network of committees, facilitating their connection with the development of SA Unions policy and campaigns.
The Campaigns and Organising Coordinator will work with union members, workplace leaders and union officials from across the diverse industries and occupations represented by SA Unions to support growth strategies, cross union and industry campaigning.
You will be responsible for developing engaging and informative campaign content that is both written and visual that will appeal to a wide range of audiences across a variety of communication channels including digital ie website, social media.
The applicant must have strong communication skills and can interpret data to progress our goals.
Experience in union campaigning including the development of strategy and union member organising is essential. Experience building alliances, dealing with government and media is valuable.

Reporting to the Secretary, SA Unions
Employment conditions subject to the SA Unions Enterprise Agreement
Salary: $96,000 range, negotiable based on experience.
Flexible working arrangements and attractive leave entitlements including 12 rostered days off per year, Christmas shutdown leave and 4 weeks annual leave.
Whilst the position is based in the Adelaide CBD, staff have access to remote working options.
The position is not elected and reports to the Secretary.
