Save the Children is one of the largest providers of domestic and family violence support services in North West Queensland. In this newly created role,be part of this dynamic network of teams working together to deliver high quality support to young people and adults who have experienced sexual violence.

In this part-time, maximum term position (22.8 hours per week through to end of March 2024, with potential for extension) based in Doomadgee, you'll work collaboratively with counselling and other community based support services to aid the recovery and healing journey of young people (12 to 17) and adults who have experienced sexual violence. Reporting to our Regional Manager, you'll be part of our North West Queensland Team.

You're an experienced support worker, with a keen interest in supporting individuals and families with their journey to recover, heal and increase safety. You have high levels of initiative and flexibility alongside cultural sensitivity and knowledge. Importantly, you have a thorough knowledge of the impacts of both sexual and domestic and family violence on children and their families and individuals.
