Spinal Cord Injuries Australia (SCIA) is a member-based national for purpose organisation that promotes independence and provides services to people with a spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities to assist them to achieve their goals. Working together with our customers, we aim to eliminate the barriers that prevent workplace and social inclusion for people with a spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities, ensuring that the society in which we live is accessible in every way.
SCIA was founded by people with spinal cord injuries. People living with disability represent more than 30% of our staff, and a majority of our Board. We are a member-based organisation, with more than 3000 members that include people with disability, their families, carers and professionals in the sector.
You will write, develop, edit and publish communications across digital and other platforms as required, whilst also measuring their impact through data and analytics (social and website, EDMs), continuously providing recommendations for new content as well as refurbing existing content and also optimising the communications plan overall.
You will ultimately be the face of SCIA in your communications, driving the creation of awareness and trust of our brand, but in addition, help us drive business growth through the communication of current and future business services that we will offer to our clients and our partners.
The position is a fixed term role, working part-time working 30 hours p/w. The ideal candidate will possess a strong belief in pursuing equality and full inclusion for people living with SCI and other disabilities and who values working in a for-purpose organisation, just like we do!
The position will have dual reporting lines initially; for new website build as a stand-alone project, you will report into the Head of Marketing, for day-to-day management, you will report into the Senior Content Manager, but you will often be required to drive and manage development projects personally.

This role is to be worked in a hybrid mode; from home with the flexibility to work from SCIA'S offices in Little Bay and St Peters office.
The position is a fixed term contract role for the period of 12 months working part-time 30 hrs per week. Interviews will be conducted as applications are received.
