Mayflower is a leading not-for-profit provider of residential aged care, home care and retirement living options with services in Brighton, Reservoir, Macleod and Pascoe Vale. Mayflower’s Mission is to “enhance the quality-of-life choices in all aspects of care delivery.”

The organisation has an enviable 60-year history of providing responsive and innovative services that enhance independence, wellbeing and lifestyle. Mayflower is currently master planning for three new developments, including two greenfield sites in Gisborne and Keilor as well as the redevelopment of an existing site at Macleod. These plans aim to deliver integrated care services at each site, providing high quality support for older Australians across the continuum of care.

With a strong balance sheet, exciting plans for growth and development amidst a time of reform for the Aged Care sector, Mayflower is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the delivery of existing services and programs and implement its new Strategic Plan. Reporting to a skills-based Board, the CEO will ensure that the organisation operates efficiently and effectively, applying sound business principles to the operations, whilst exploring new models and opportunities growth and diversified revenue. A key part of the role with be to develop an effective relationship with the Board and to build an engaged workforce and high performing culture.

This position requires an experienced, energetic and ethical leader, qualified with a relevant degree and aligned to the Mission and Values of Mayflower Aged Care and a commitment to good Governance. You will have a successful track record in being able to build genuine and effective relationships with a multitude of stakeholders, including Boards, staff, Government and service users. As a leader you will be visible, inclusive and kind, with a reputation for successfully leading organisations operating within complex and highly regulated sectors and inspiring staff. Ideally you will be conversant with the current Government policy issues surrounding the Aged Care services sector and be able to articulate this into high quality and person-centred care models. Naturally, you will be strategically minded but equally adept at ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness with a business acumen balanced against ensuring a supportive and enabling workplace culture.
