With a dedicated focus on serving approximately 1.6 million residents across South East Melbourne, we actively engage in population health planning, commissioning services, fostering partnerships for quality care, supporting health professionals, and driving impactful policy reform.

Job details:

  • Part-time/Full-time, 12 months with possibility of extension.
  • Hybrid working arrangements: Heatherton office and from home

The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in advancing SEMPHN's evidence-based health services by coordinating research partnerships, translating findings, reviewing proposals, and providing secretariat support. The position involves:

  • Enhance SEMPHN’s research approach and governance.
  • Manage external research proposal review and approval.
  • Coordinate and monitor SEMPHN’s research participation.
  • Coordinate the "Cardiac linkage project", a partnership between Victorian Department of Health and SEMPHN
  • Provide secretariat support to the Victoria and Tasmania Primary Health Network Alliance (VTPHNA) Research, Evaluation, and Data Senior Leadership group.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation to provide general research advice and support.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Management of committee agendas and other decision-making groups.
  • Writing papers in collaboration with colleagues.
  • Coordinating and maintaining industry-based research partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills for translating complex academic findings.
  • General knowledge of grant applications and ethical approval processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
