About the Program

headspace provides early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12-25. The Holistic Youth Program (HYP) is a service stream of headspace and provides youth friendly, strengths-focused support to young people with, or at risk of developing, a serious mental illness that can significantly impacting their day-to-day work, education, social and/or personal life.

In conjunction with the headspace team, HYP is designed to provide flexible, medium-term care (typically up to 12 months) at no cost. The program focuses on young people who would benefit from a multidisciplinary or team-based approach with the goal of preventing the individual from having to access specialist mental health services and reducing long-term mental ill-health.

About the Role

As Peer Worker, you will work within the headspace team to provide open, appropriate and effective support to young people accessing the HYP Program. You will:

  • Use your own life experience of mental health and personal recovery will provide a distinct advantage as you support people with a lived experience of mental health issues.
  • Aim to nurture hope and personal power to inspire the people that you support to move forward with their lives.

Your Benefits

  • Competitive Salary Packaging: Maximise your take-home pay by salary packaging up to $15,900.
  • Fitness Passport: Take advantage of our discounted workplace health and fitness program, offering you and your family access to a wide range of gyms, pools, and fitness centers at a fraction of the regular cost. For 50% less than a typical gym membership, enjoy unlimited visits and stay motivated to maintain your health and well-being.
  • Transform Lives: Play a vital role in empowering individuals, helping them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
  • Flexible Work Environment: Enjoy a role that offers you the flexibility to balance work with other commitments.
