Looking for a way to make a positive impact in your community? Consider becoming a volunteer for the TRISS Program in Parramatta! Our Outreach Program is designed to provide support and encouragement to consumers and carers through regular check-ins and friendly conversations.
As a TRISS Program volunteer, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with program participants, who will be able to choose the days and times that work best for them to receive calls. This flexibility ensures that participants can access the support they need, when they need it. Whether they're in a regional area and feeling isolated, dealing with social challenges, or just looking for extra support, this program can help.
Time Required: 3-4 hours a week between Monday to Friday for 12 months or longer. Shifts are 9:45am – 1pm OR 12:45pm – 4pm (we can arrange a suitable day and time for you).
We are seeking volunteers who have empathy, an understanding of the impact of mental illness and good listening and communication skills. Volunteers include people who want to make a positive difference to the lives of consumers and carers and we encourage all individuals with experience in psychology, social work and human services to apply. This role is suitable for skilled volunteers who are looking to make a regular commitment for 6 to 12 months.
Please contact the Coordinator for further inquiries at [email protected] using the subject line: TRISS Program Volunteer enquiry via EthicalJobs or at 1800 843 539.
