Are you an experienced writer who is passionate about purpose-led business?
Join a dedicated and impactful team to help produce this year’s Shared Value Summit communications. Our summit journalist will be responsible for producing insightful and engaging news articles to summarise the key take-aways from our Summit sessions.
The articles will be published via our Shared Value Project (SVP) and SV Summit websites following the summit.
This year’s Summit will be delivered both in-person and online (a hybrid); with speakers joining us in-studio in Melbourne and virtually. The successful candidate will be available to attend to the in-person component on June 17, and review recordings of virtual sessions as required. This role would be ideal for an experienced writer or journalism student who is looking to gain work-place exposure.
This is a voluntary position, which will require you to participate in a pre-Summit briefing, attend the Summit on 17 June, and produce up to 8 articles post-event (to be discussed). SVP would require these articles over the weeks following the event.
The 2021 Shared Value Summit Asia Pacific is the region’s pre-eminent purpose-led business event. Whilst showcasing shared value progress, it also sets an important agenda for stakeholder capitalism moving forward; giving a platform to some of the most prominent voices in business, government, social impact and academia.
This year’s summit is themed The Future We Choose, recognising this unique moment in time to determine a different future - whilst we have more agency and appetite for change than ever before. It will explore how business can harness this moment in time to create a more sustainable and productive world for the long-term. We will explore a range of topics and issues – from the leadership evolution and the economics of impact; to COVID-19, disaster resilience and mental health.
Established in 2014, the Shared Value Project (SVP) is the peak body for advancing the adoption of shared value in Australia and New Zealand. Shared value is a business strategy designed to solve social issues profitably.
Since the organisation’s inception, shared value understanding and practice in Australia – and globally – has grown. Alongside its affiliates in the US, South Africa, India and Hong Kong; SVP has taken the idea presented by Professor Michael Porter and Mark Kramer in the original 2011 HBR article, Creating Shared Value and contributed to the development and evolution of the movement.
