The Role

We are currently seeking Personal Care Workers (PCWs) to join the team in our residential aged care facilities located in Shepparton, Kialla and Mooroopna.

All staff within Aged Care Facilities work as members of a team and tasks are divided between team members. Facilities operate on a 24 hour basis and all staff are required to work variable shifts. The requirement for flexibility of work location, willingness to work varied shifts and occasionally at short notice is considered of utmost importance to the smooth running of the facilities at Shepparton Villages.

This position is a multi-skilled role with duties in all aspects of daily resident care. In particular, PCWs are responsible for completing Assisted Daily Living (ADLs) tasks, ensuring the residents are safe and emotionally supported.

The salary range will be determined by skills, experience and qualifications.

Key Selection Criteria - Essential

  • Demonstrated experience in residential aged care.
  • Minimum qualification of Certificate III or IV in Aged Care.
  • High level listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well demonstrated experience working effectively in a team.
  • The ability to follow policies, processes and instructions.
  • Sound time management and organisational skills.
  • The ability to problem-solve low to medium level of complexity issues and know when it is appropriate to escalate.
