A vacancy is available for an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Prevention Coordinator to commence in our Bunbury office on a permanent full time basis.

The core of the AOD Prevention Coordinator role is in building relationships with organisations and communities by helping them find ways of preventing negative impacts of alcohol and other drug related harms in communities, families and individuals of the South West. Consisting of liaising and collaborating with a range of key stakeholders including government and non-government agencies, professionals, community groups and individuals on AOD prevention activities and initiatives, this is very much about community development and capacity building – supporting communities, group and organisations to develop and implement their own AOD prevention activities.

As the AOD Prevention Coordinator you are energetic and comfortable being out and about in the South West community at events, activities and meetings, in addition to presenting education, training and information sessions. Your demonstrated networking and relationship building skills complement a strategic and responsive approach in harnessing energies from the different community and groups of the South West for the common goal of preventing AOD related harms.

This is a permanent full time position of 76 hours per fortnight and presents as a fabulous career opportunity to make a defining positive impact in our community.
